About Cass C
Growing up on the ice in St. Paul, Minnesota, Cassidy "Cass" C learned to do camel spins and throw toe loops before she could crawl... well, not really... but she did learn to ice skate at a very young age - just 11 months after she learned to walk! (with help from her mom of course). "When the land of a thousand lakes freezes for winter, everyone here learns to skate, sometimes in their own back yards." Cass began competing at age 8 and has stuck with the sport ever since. She now teaches the next generation of lovable "rink rats" and also attends art school with a focus on designing sets for special events. Her dream is to work on the Olympic Games opening ceremonies.

Q & A
Job:
Student at the St. Paul College of Visual Arts and part-time instructor at Schwan Super Rink Skating School
Favorite Food:
Peanut butter toast and hot cocoa (together) on an early winter morning before heading to the rink. And for dinner, I love chicken pad thai (2 stars, please).
Favorite TV Show(s):
The Olympic Figure Skating Championships... ya think? And the new special Fashion On Ice (on the Style network). I also like American Idol & Lost.
Favorite Actor(s):
Matt Fox ("Jack" from Lost) & Sarah Jessica Parker
Favorite Hobby(s) (activities, what they do on week-ends):
To be honest, figure skating is like a full-time job (with hours of training, competition and all that goes along with it), and though I love it, I don't have time for many other hobbies. When I do have free time, I love to hang with friends and see movies.
Favorite Website(s):
-->Favorite Band(s):
Flo Rida & Fergie
Favorite Video Game(s):
The Legend of Zelda & Tetris
Why I love my job:
Skating is my life... even if I never win a gold medal, it has taught me how to work hard, aim high and succeed. I feel I can teach other young girls this same life lesson. And did I mention how awesome it is to be out there on the ice? It's my stage and my quiet getaway - all at the same time.
