Mia T. is a bundle of positive energy. She has traveled the world as an exchange student in Nepal and Chile and is passionate about foreign language (especially Spanish). This girl can roll her Rrrrrrrs better than anyone! She also loves to share her worldly experiences with others which is what brought her to teaching. While student teaching at a local high school, it’s Mia’s mission to take her Spanish class on an immersion program to Cusco, Peru where they will have daily language lessons, live with a local family, and take an adventurous trek to Machu Picchu.

I love to travel and experience different cultures, but when I’m home I like to hang out with my friends and go salsa dancing for fun.

Why I love my job:

Why I love my job: Teaching kids is very rewarding, but teaching high schoolers is really cool because I can relate to them and give them a jump start on life before college (or at least life after high school). My big thing is trying to open their eyes to world around them through teaching them another language, travel and cultural exchange…I think it’s the best learning experience anyone can have…and it changed my life, so I feel it’s my job to get them out there and change theirs too! :)
